Hi, I’m Margaret, and I’m passionate about introducing people to a better life, in which our values and lifestyle fit together seamlessly to create an environment that frees us to pursue our highest and best selves.
If you’re like most of my readers, you want to live a more earth-friendly lifestyle. You care about the environment, you want to live compassionately, and you hope to leave this world better than you found it.
But life keeps getting in the way. You’d like to try eating vegan food, but it’s hard to find. You’d like to stop wearing animal products, but it seems impossible to find quality vegan clothing and accessories. You really don’t want to sacrifice your favourite foods and start living like a hippy. And deep down your’e afraid that being vegan will leave you socially isolated.
I know how you feel
I started ModVegan because I believe vegan values are really universal values. Extending compassion and consideration to non-human animals is a natural extension of the virtues of kindness and mercy we all hold dear. And today we are lucky to live in a world where cruelty-free beauty, food, fashion & luxury are widely available.
I’m on a mission to find the world’s best vegan products. I believe vegan products should be as good as, if not vastly superior to, their outdated counterparts. And if you feel like veganism is just for college students and people living on communes, I’m living proof that veganism is most definitely NOT one-size-fits-all.
Outside of finding amazing vegan fashion, beauty and food products, I’m a wife, mom, runner, voracious non-fiction reader, and sun worshiper (although being practically transparent means I have to wear 50 spf sunscreen at all times). I love to bake, but I don’t think I’ll ever be that interested in cooking. I’d much rather dine out, and that’s one major reason that finding great plant-based meals at restaurants is very important to me!
So, if you would like to go vegan, but the only thing stopping you is fear of what you might need to leave behind, please join me. Leave animal exploitation in the past, where it belongs, and go vegan. You won’t be sorry!
